Design and acoustics at Dekker Zoetermeer
Dekker Zoetermeer facilitates, among other things, various recreational sports and restaurants. In addition, it has several halls for business and events.
In one of the halls, the acoustics have been tackled in a beautiful way. Together with the client, we fitted the walls and ceiling with sound absorbing products. Walls and ceilings, if hard and reflective, are in fact the culprits of poor acoustics. The result is that intelligibility, tranquillity and comfort are hard to find.
We hung acoustic ceiling elements from the ceiling. The elements in the same colour as the ceiling are barely noticeable.
We did something special on the marble wall. Here we chose to cut EASYfelt Petfelt panels to size in large round shapes. In addition, we sprayed the outer elements in a pink colour (retaining the acoustic value). In combination with the inner anthracite elements it gets a nice soft look. With the indirect LED lighting behind it and a stylish wall lamp on the panel, this has become an acoustic design. Completely in the style of the interior.
