Unthreading doors
For a good music experience in the car, a good sound system alone is not enough; for optimal listening pleasure, annoying vibrations in the sheet metal should also be counteracted. This applies in particular to surfaces in which speakers are fitted. Vibrations in the speakers cause these surfaces to vibrate, producing an annoying sound that can be heard through the music.
Counteracting driving noise
What you can do about driving noise depends very much on how it penetrates the cabin. Here, the weakest link is the culprit. It is therefore very important to detect this weakest link. You can do this by simply listening or possibly using a dB meter (app) to measure the noise level in various places.
Attenuating engine noise
In most new cars, much consideration is given to bonnet insulation and engine noise attenuation. In many older cars, this is not the case. There is also the problem that insulation in a car can age (especially at high temperatures) (after about 5 to 6 years), making it less effective.
Counteracting vibrations
In cars with large cabins such as motorhomes, vans and jeeps, some other annoying noise issues can occur. We distinguish between the feeling of being in a sound box and nuisance due to vibrations.
