Reverberation in the extension reduced
A wooden frame extension in this house was causing a lot of reverberation. The entire facade was 10 metres long, made of glass and had many corners. Altogether, these elements caused severe reverberation.
Wesley is an acoustic consultant for the private market and made a visit to the residents. He performed a reverberation test and this confirmed that there was a lot of reverberation in the room. In collaboration with the client, the decision was made to solve the problem at the source. The source in this case was the space around the dining table. A ceiling element above the table and an acoustic photo panel on the wall next to the table were therefore chosen.
We were dealing with a very handy customer: he assembled the acoustic solutions himself, which led to a great result!
