    Why an acoustic lamp?

If you want to improve the acoustics in an attractive way, an acoustic lamp is a good option. Especially at the table. If the acoustics are not in order, absorption must be added in the room. Absorption improves speech intelligibility.

Above the table, dampening is then one of the first and effective places. After all, there is a lot of talking going on here. Conventional solutions, such as a ceiling panel or ceiling element, are very effective but not always aesthetically pleasing. A lamp with an acoustic effect becomes more part of the room.

Good acoustics and lighting in your workplace, but also at home brings peace and comfort. Both are very important parts of a pleasant working environment. After all, it has a lot of influence on the mood and well-being of employees. It is therefore very beneficial to match or combine acoustics and lighting.

    Is an acoustic lamp effective?

Each acoustic lamp has a certain absorption value and surface area. The higher the absorption value, the more effective it is. The larger the lamp, the greater the range. Acoustic lamps are usually made of materials such as felt and melamine foam. These are damping materials.  Compared to steel, wood, plastic, bamboo, or other plastics, the lamps contribute much better to the acoustics in the room.

So if you have a modern sleek house and are looking for a lamp then the choice for an acoustic lamp is a very good choice. Lighting in one fell swoop and improving the acoustics. On the other hand, acoustic panels and elements are more effective for reducing reverberation or echo. Panels have a larger surface area and usually a better absorption capacity.

If you want to tackle acoustics head on, you need a lot of acoustic lamps. In these situations it is therefore not recommended to work with lamps only. Often a combination is made of panels on the wall and/or ceiling and acoustic lamps above the tables.

    Interior

The good thing about the absorptive lighting is that it can complement the interior. An acoustic panel is taken from the idea of improving the acoustics. While acoustic lighting can also be used as an aesthetic object in a room. Without necessarily serving as an absorbent element.

The lamps can often be ordered in different sizes and colours. This makes a nice change from lamps in the office possible. For example the Lily of Abstracta. This can be made in two sizes and in different colours.

    Lighting element

All lamps are equipped with LED lighting. Some lamps are equipped with a downlight. Some lamps are designed as mood lighting. For example, the BuzziPleat Light is available with a decorative Led Globe or a functional Led downlighter.

The Glimakra Weave provides beautiful diffuse light by using an acrylic lens. This lamp shines both upwards and downwards.

    Brands and customization

EASY Noise Control uses several brands. These brands offer a fixed collection in fixed colours and sizes. In addition, we can think along with you if you, as an architect or designer, want to make your own acoustic lamp.

Integrating lamps in acoustic elements, panels or baffles is of course possible. With the EASY ceiling element, the integration of an LED spotlight is a standard option. Indirect LED lighting or other types of lamps are also possible.

Please contact us for more information about the collection or customisation.
